![]() ![]() RR support has finally said what I'm experiencing is a bug and will be fixed. which makes no sense.Īll that said, I think the way RR claims it works will eventually get there, and I accept that it seems to work for others. Why? It fails to find a dock, and starts complaining, "Error 23", "Clean the contacts on the dock", etc. Then there are logical inconsistencies such as "returning to dock" when it didn't start from a dock and the robot knows for a fact there is no dock on that level. I'd much rather tap on icon to give her a head start and get underway with cleaning. My maps don't look anything like each other, yet my robot takes several minutes to figure out where she is. every time, and then "restore" the map as if it were accidentally deleted. You can still select the map, but you have to dig down into Map Manage, deal with "Failed to retrieve maps". It was a lot easier in the previous firmware when you just clicked on the map you wanted from the home screen to start any operation. First of all, RR evens says that if you want to do a room clean, you need to let the robot start doing a full clean on the level and wait for it to identify the level, then abort that, and then select room/zone from the displayed map. Then there's the real world (for me, anyway). RR says that once you have all your levels mapped, then all you need to do is place the robot on the level you want cleaned and go. After doing some research, it was a bad batch of RR and has been resolved. Side note: I heard about NON-spinning main brushes on RR models. Once the new map has been saved, next time, no matter which floor you want it to clean, select the map for the floor, it would figure out the most efficient way for cleaning. Let the robot vacuum start cleaning from the charging dock, complete a whole-house cleaning, and go back to the charging dock on itself. If you want to use the multi-floor maps management, please make sure you move the charging dock and robot vacuum to the new environment. If this is true, ECOVACS are not an option as the Multimap process for the 360 is as follows: The process must be repeated each time the robot is moved between floors as the dock must be recognized IN the location at which maps were 1st built.Move Robot AND dock back to the same place it was when the robot mapped the 2nd floor.When you want to clean the 2nd floor, you must.Place dock & robot back in the same place before and power up and clean, etc.Move it and the dock back to the 1st floor.Move the robot and the dock to the new (2nd) floor.To use ANY multi Mapping OZMO robot ( INCLUDING ALL T SERIES robots) on different floors/maps, you must: I was shocked to hear the following answer: I called ECOVAC customer service and asked them the following question about multiple floor plans: "If I map the 1st floor of my home, then need to map the 2nd what the process is?
